“The Raspberry Pi 3A+ has built in Wi-Fi, which make setting up much more easy than the older model A versions. With a monitor and keyboard attached, you can run raspi-config and set up the wi-fi and ssh, after which, you can use it remotely.
I've used mine as an experimental weather station. It it located in my garage and various outdoor sensors are connected up to the GPIO pins. I use some Python to read the sensors and records the readings to a database. I've installed a LAMP stack to generate a website to display the weather data graphically.”
