“Extremely easy to get going with this. I tinkered very lighlty with Arduino in the past and wanted an easy way to make REST requests and display data pulled down to external displays.
If you are familiar with Linux command line and python this is a must-have. The Python GPIO module is easy to use and there are so many possibilities with this.
I installed Rapsberry OS to get going and will probably stick with it. Very impressed with the pi, such a small device yet so much power. Will definitely get a four and install retro pi at some point”
“Still the best quality for the price in my opinion. I have worked with the Pi 4 for a while and I have had lots of issues with it. Fanless, the Pi 4 would not stay stable for me, but with a fan it was too noisy. The Pi 3B+ keeps going on and on, never had any issues with it.
It, of course, depends on what you want to do with it, but when it comes to having a dedicated server for something, stowed away in a closet, there's nothing like the Pi 3 yet in my opinion.”
