“As ever, with all the PI computers I have bought, the Zero is excellent. I've had one running for nearly three years reading the temperature from an AM2315. A C program reads the temperature through I2C every 30 minutes and posts to a RabbitMQ server running on a PI model B which has been running for even longer.”
“My use case: Alternative to 2/4 way audio speaker switch. Install Picoreplayer image (Squeezelite client for Logitech Media Server (LMS) software). Wifi option allows easy connection and Picoreplayer very simple to use with Hifiberry MiniAmp. Pushes synchronised (or different) music stream to pair of speakers in my kitchen. Spotify add-on installed to LMS.
Only downside - UniPiCase expensive compared to the Justboom one and difficult to fix the device to something more solid as the cables push the unit around. For about £50 and 1.5 hours effort a very nice solution.”
