Love this camera, I got this and the Pi Hut Zero View for my Pi Zero to do time lapse photography experiments with the kids. Also to create my own photo booth project, which the kids love!. Great stuff keep up the good work.

Although it is an increase from 5mp to 8mp, I would not say that it is any better image quality. It is definitely a balancing act between low light features and resolution. It is still worth upgrading to, but don't expect it to be a major change in quality.

The module was easy to attach to the Raspberry Pi 3. It was very easy to get images onto the computer and they are stored in their own folder. The resolution of the images are very good. I have bought a small box to house the actual lens so that it doesn’t get damaged and it makes it somewhat easier to keep the lens pointing at the subject. I am at the moment trying to do ’stop-go motion’ with the camera but I have yet to perfect the technique.

Better resolution and colors than what I saw with the original model. No problems with focus from what I can tell - I was a bit worried after reading the first reviews but the latest stock come with properly set lens.

This is an excellent product, easy to connect to the Pi and very sharp images. The software included on the Raspberry Pi is first class and reasonably easy to use with lots of creative effects and options that cover just about every eventuality. I didn't find a manual but there are plenty of videos and tutorials online to get you going. If I'm picking hairs it's the lack of a built in microphone which would have been nice when using as a video camera.

With enough juice to power even the Pi 3 and the official logo on it you vant go wrong. I have several now and all perform flawless. Combined with the superb shop of thepihut, recommended!

I have tested the new Raspberry Pi 2 camera with a Raspbery Pi 2 and I was positively surprised by the image quality. A real improvement over the V1 camera.
