“Getting started with the camera module couldn't be easier: connect the ribbon, enable camera in raspi-config and install PiCamera for controlling with python.
I was however disappointed with the image quality. First off, the description says it is fixed focus, which would make you think the default is fixed for infinity. This was not the case for me. After some googling, I found that it is possible to adjust the focus by turning the lens but it is quite a hassle to get it right. Even in focus, the sharpness is not great and noise is quite disturbing already at ISO400 but pretty average I for a sensor of this size.”
“I used the camera with a pi zero w and the flat cable connection is very poor. Any slight movement and the camera stops working.
When the camera connection is complete the camera works well but the setup is flimsy and unreliable but probably due to the pi zero w connector which may be faulty. This has not been a good experience, however shopping with you has been good and I will buy again.”
