“This is my fourth Pi, the improvement in performance is noticeable and the integrated wifi and Bluetooth come as a welcome addition - one less dongle to buy at least. I was hoping also to not need a Bluetooth dongle for the keyboard and mouse however as yet I have been unable to make this work. This is probably more to do with my choice of Bluetooth keyboard or the newness of the feature than the Pi itself.
The Pi fits snuggly in the Official Pi 3 case I bought with it and I was pleasantly surprised by how easily and well it all fitted together given that the Pi isn't screwed down as with other similar cases.
Setup was remarkably quick - I downloaded a copy of NOOBS, unzipped it to an SD card, plugged it all together -power, keyboard and screen and switched it on and within a few minutes I had a fully working Pi. The only configuration I had to do was to connect it to the WiFi - and that was no harder than clicking on the app and selecting the network and entering the key. Incidentally if you can set the Pi up with a wired connection I think you get more OS options from NOOBS.
One thing is noticeable with the new Pi is that the power draw is higher than on previous models. I was using the Pi 3 with a power dongle (recommended for the Pi) I'd happily been using with my Pi2, Pi0 and Pi B+ but with the Pi 3 I experienced random reboots due to brown outs. I swapped the dongle for my official RPi hub and had no further problems. I've noticed that since the release of the Pi 3 higher rated power dongles have become available.
In summary I am very pleased with my purchase and the service from The PiHut and look forward to tackling some more compute intensive projects with my uprated Pi.”

“I had a very very early version of the Pi 1 B, it did its job well enough but I ordered a 3 on a spur of the moment thing. WOW!!!! Just little things like the Micro SD slot, 4 USB's, crazy fast booting and the least accurate benchmark ever, RPI 1 with Jessie was using nearly 100% of the cpu just moving the mouse, RPI 3 not even 1% :)
