Raspberry Pi 3 is a really good and quite cheap. They've finally integrated Wifi and Bluetooth unit so that you don't need to buy separate modules. But don't expect too much from it, it's not made for gaming or watching high resolution content.

The Raspberry Pi has always been great for streaming media and doing it without making any sound at all. The Raspberry Pi 3 is no different. The extra power the Pi3 has however shows when streaming higher quality files, where the Pi2 ran into issues the Pi3 runs the stream smoothly.

Now that the full Open GL GPU driver is available I can run Stellarium on these boards and use them to replace a shed load of desktop PC's for the public events at my local Astronomy Society. I only wish we had full Open GL on the Pi Zero (which already replaces all the other Pi's for any application that doesn't need a directly connected touch screen). NB the $1 4Gb class 4 SDHC cards I found on ebay (from China) work perfectly .... as do my cheap 8Gb ones .. if your (FAT32) 32Gb card fails, I could be a fake (in fact, there's a good chance any cheap '32Gb / 64Gb / 128 Gb' is really just a 'reprogrammed' 4Gb card :-) )

I really love these small computers, so cheap and versatile.

it took me like 3 hours to finally find out how to properly install raspbian. Turns out that a 4 dollar 32 gb sd card from china is not a good option for running an operating sistem. Luckily i had an old 16 gb sd card which was of sufficient quality, so that i could then successfully install raspbian. Connecting to my hidden wifi spot at home was also a hassle, but I found out that if i un-hide the wifi, connect to it on the pi and than hide it again, the pi can still use it even when it is hidden (the hidden wifi). The web browsing experience was laggy while oppening new pages but it worked okay when the page was fully loaded. I have yet to try using the gpio pins but i plan on doing that in the near future (i like that the pi webpage has simple to follow instructions for learning that sort of things). All in all I like the pi and I plann on doing many fun weekend projects on it. Btw, i am studying electrical engineering and I am interested in this sort of things. Arduino is also fun.

My Raspberry Pi 3 is not just a really useful and educational device for me - it is the latest in the line of devices which has fundamentally changed the face of computing the world over! Very few products can claim to have genuinely changed the world; especially impacting and improving children's education even in developing countries. The tiny Raspberry Pi computer is just such a product. Every home should have one (or several!) - I have about 12!
