The introduction of wireless connectivity and a boost in performance over its previous iteration make the Raspberry Pi 3 Model B appropriate for a wider variety of projects—and it still costs just $35. PROS Low price. Includes 802.11n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.1. Improved performance over previous generation. CONS Requires lots of additional hardware to function as a full PC. Limited operating system selection. Software setup may prove challenging.

Fair whistles along with both Devuan and FreeBSD. Haven't tried wireless yet but everything else has behaved perfectly. May have to order several more to replace older boards.

The Raspberry Pi 3 is a major improvement for me after upgrading from the original model B. The four USB ports and built-in wifi and bluetooth are extremely useful and these alone were reasons to switch. The four cores and higher clock speed make using the Pi much more enjoyable.

Having purchased several Raspberry Pi models in the past, I recently purchased the new Pi 3b, I find that the faster speed, together with the latest Pi download has provided me with a better "PC", than my existing Acer, running WINDOWS 7 64. The annoying adverts don't appear, so the system is NOT slowed down when using "Chromium" to web search I use it to play video and music as well. Got it hooked up to a spare 40" FULL HDTV, can't even see the Pi. All this is extra to the "control" fun I had before. Would recommend Pi3b as a £30 PC !!
