“I recently bought a Raspberry Pi 3 and I loved it so much that I bought a second one. After I finished experimenting and playing with them I am using both as media centres, and they work really well. I can go on and say it has this and it should have that, like it has only 1 GB Ram and no Gig Ethernet support. However, the reality is that the PI is an awesome computer for the price, the available software and even the performance for such a low end device is just amazing, plus it almost has everything you need. Yes it does not come with a case but there are plenty of options to choose from. I also bought a mini keyboard the size of a remote control. Finally, I am using Kodi on them and it really run great, when optimised, it just runs all my HD movies. Well done the Pi team.”
“The RPI3B is fast and the on board BT and Wifi helps a lot for someone never used a RPI before.
The person who got this for Christmas uses it for learning about Linux, programming in Linux etc..”
“Hi, I have recently bought Pi to build a night vision camera to see what critters are roaming around outside and to maybe catch those low life's who fly tip new my house. The last coding I undertook was at uni over 20 years ago. It's so much easier now with the wealth of information available at only a few search engine entries away. It's a slow burn when I get a few quite hours but the bits I've done to date are very rewarding and satisfying. Cheers Rich”
“Using it as a media centre and the speed and usage is perfect for this.
Streaming video without hickups.
Even in combination with WIFI and bluetooth.”
