“I was looking for a new audio player for my office, and had tried Volumio on my original raspberry Pi. It worked ok, but wasn't the quickest, or best sound. But when I used the new Rasperry Pi 3 Model B, with the HiFiBerry DAC+ Light, it was completely different. Instant response, and great sound. Works just as well with Internet Radio, as it does with music on my NAS.”
“I recently upgraded from a Pi2 and perhaps my expectations were a little high for the Pi3
I'm not one for over clocking and perhaps this is why i feel the performance could be better,
Loaded up with OpenELEC to begin with but there was just too much jitter, i have now loaded up OSMC which is a little smoother.
I also hoped to use WiFi but had to switch out for a cable but then again this is probably more to do with the 6 year old router i have under the stairs,
Don't get me wrong i love the Pi range, can't wait for the next one!”
“I highly recommend this as computer for light use, I have replaced an old Dell laptop for this small computer. Just be wary, the pi doesn't come in a box. It is simply wrapped in bubble wrap, put in an anti static bag and posted. Other than that, it's marvellous.”
