“I bought this for it's compact size. It is the 3rd incarnation of the music server for my HiFi. The first was 3 boxes, a Pi2, a USB WiFi interface (as big as a Pi with "ear" antennae) and a USB SSD. Later, a Pi3 eliminated the WiFi box. With a 256Gb micro SD card replacing the SSD, this single box solution hides behind my CD player. For information: the software is from Volumio (formerly Raspberry-Fi) with a user web interface so usable from a phone, tablet or desktop PC.”

I'm using the pi as a homebridge accessory and they are ideal. The one in the picture goes in a small enclosure and is powered by 240v.

“I bought one to have a little tinker with. Now I own two and will be buying a third one very soon. Can't stop thinking of applications for them. The current project is a little bluetooth connected synthesizer, next will be a data collector; temperature magnetic fields jpegs from the picam sort of thing. Hope you don't run out of them before I run out of ideas.”
