“impressive little piece of tech, i got this to see what the fuss was about and i see now, I've been playing with a few things to see what it can do and so far it hasn't let me down yet. currently got it working as a pocsag decoder (works like a charm). next pi zero' i get (and there will be a few) will be taking over my other pi 3a and 3b projects. if your in the market to get one, just go ahead and get one, you wont be let down.”
“Planning to use it as a VPN gateway from my caravan, connecting to my Plex server at home. Bandwidth isn't a big issue as I only have cellular 4g connection and will only be supporting a single client connection. A perfect solution if works?”
“brilliant bit of kit, and well worth the money. small, compact, and powerful enough to run plenty of lightweight projects. in my case, it's running a photo frame with more than enough capacity to spare. you'll still have to think about a way to shut them down cleanly as that's not handled at hardware level, but it's a minor thing to consider.”
“Hi Richard,
Thanks for getting in touch. I have to say that you may think you are a small company but your service is great and you more than compete well for price with Ebay, Aliexpress and the bigger names for pi products.
As you are probably aware of pi-star and the mmdvm Hat used in the Radio Amateur world it may be a good idea if you also supplied the mmdvm board and OLED as a one stop shop for a complete hotspot kit for Radio Amateurs.
Kind regards,
John”
