I've had some incompatibilites with SD-Card with an older Raspbian version! The built in Wifi has problems with SSH, using SSHover a VPN Tunnel works.
GPIO-Pin remote controling a Relais Board via Web Server works, I succesfully connected a Logilink USB-Camera which is cheaper than the original Pi-Cam.

Huawei USB UMTS sticks allow a mobile internet connection, and you can power the PI by a USB Power Bank. I even was able to run fault tolerant MULTIPATH routing over mutliple uplinks (so anti terror jammers won't work https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Datei:President%27s_motorcade_rear_view_detail_jammer-car.jpg) on bigger Raspberry PIs.
I think free Intrenet shall be accessibale for adults only, anyway. (I even managed to run a full table BGP4 PEERING session - fullmesh from a Commercial Internet Exchange Datacenter - on PI - requires >= 1GB RAM per Upstream)
