“Great piece of Pi - WiFi gets much better reception than the Zero with a dongle. Highly recommended for projects that don't require much processing power. You have to choose and solder your own header, but I am cool with that. You might want to stick to a 3 if it is your first - the price is not that different once you buy other necessary extras such as headers, micro USB to USB converters, etc. It still only has one USB for data, so a bit of pain to set up - I bought a Broadcom USB hub to allow me to set them up easily. Not having wired network is also a downside, but fine for what I am doing.”
