“From a recent CoderDojo event and activities in school, the updated raspberry pi zero is favoured for its tiny size and low power requirements (being happy on the smallest battery) and able to fit a mutlitude of potential projects. The Wi-fi connection is easy to set up and the unit is fast enough for basic computer games using the built in lightweight os. Older kids (and grown ups) would prefer the lightweight Ubuntu Mate (os) installation option, (the same as I use on my (dual boot) PC laptop. Its impressive to demonstrate its potential.”
“raspberry pi zero is a low cost computer, it is slower than raspberry pi 3/plus but its small size makes it favorable for robotic applications. Wifi module on raspberry pi zero is a very key point that makes it different from raspberry pi zero. raspberry pi zero/zero W just have one USB port for data transfer, so using a wifi dongle force us to use a USB hub for using other hardware like keyboard, mouse ...”
