“I bought one of these Pi Zero camera cables recently and have just ordered a second, along with a RaspiCam and a Pi Zero.
It is a neat flexible flat cable (FFC) designed to interface with the narrow pitch of the Pi Zero connector and the broader pitch of the Pi camera. Some degree of manual dexterity is required when fitting, as is the case with many small electro-mechanical assemblies.
The cable length is just about right for my application (I have put the Pi Zero and camera into a small ABS box which will stream video from the entrance to a bird box).
The only negative is the price. At £4 this cable is the same price as a Pi Zero. Similar FFCs are around £2, and the price of this one is not justified by size or complexity. And when buying a Pi Zero and camera together, I'd like to see some way of eliminating this extra cost (e.g. Pi camera + Zero FFC for the same price as Pi Camera + regular FFC).”
