“Super happy with my upgrade from Pi 4. I had to reinstall OS from scratch, using Home Assistant package, but the migration was easy - just did a backup, downloaded it and restored from it on the new system. Really nice kit, with heatsink and fan and purpose-made box. I like having an official PSU as there are so many USB "chargers" around now, and they are all different.”
“Im pleased I went with the starter kit, as it says on the tin it had everything I needed. I own a pi 3b+ This pi 5 is great it has so much more power. A reccomended upgrade.
I would shop with the Pi Hut again, I little bit more expensive than some outlets, with Pi Hut I got that peace of mind.”
“Excellent build quality and easy to put together. I would recommend adding an instruction or label on the diagram to show which parts of the board the heat-sink should be added to; unless you already had knowledge about motherboards it may be difficult to identify. At this moment the only other critique I have would be that the case doesnt hold strongly therfore it wouldve been ideal if screws we provided to hold the case togther better. The usb ports were stiff to put in since they had not been used so more force was required and as the case was not strongly attached together it was fiddly.”
“Fantasic piece of kit. I have a couple of older Raspberry Pi 3s, but this is a whole new level of performance. I use it as a hobbyist, but also I attach a Raspberry Pi monitor and connect wireless keyboard and mouse and have a great desktop PC. Would recommend.”
