“I am a newbie to the pi and cut my teeth on the intel 8086 so my skills are not exactly current. I bought the pi to set up a NAS as I was unhappy at having some of my more sensitive files being backed up to the cloud and out of my control. Delivery of my starter kit was very rapid and within 3 days of ordering the kit, I had my NAS up and running, the only items I required being a laptop and the USB drive I used. It would have been quicker had I had a better understanding of Windows WSL IP issues and had I realised that you can run SSH from the command line. Great experience - thank you.”
