“Excellent bit of tech. I'm brand new to Raspberry Pi - never touched one previously and have no experience whatsoever. I've got into home automation and found a use for a Pi. I've been leaving my iMac on permanently so that I could run Mosquitto MQTT. With zero experience and just following online tutorials I've managed to set up MQTT on the Pi. I've also added Homebridge to it allowing Siri control of all devices connected to my Hubitat hub. Finally I also added motioneye. I used this to convert the rtsp streams from my Hikvision system and serve them via http to my SharpTools dashboards (on Fire HD tablets). All that setup and running brilliantly with my zero experience.
