The 2GB model is quite a capable little machine, ideal when you just need a small form factor machine to run Linux. The official case isn't the greatest in terms of heat dissipation, but it's fine for my usage.

I almost did'nt write a review as everything went so smoothly I almost did not notice. Simple to set up and immediately put to good use with a touch screen. Plenty of help if you get stuck - which you won't.

This was my very first SBC and I was blown away by it. I don't have any of the equipment to flash a micro SD card so having that bundled in with this was a huge time saver and help. The device has been running 24/7 since I purchased and I'm very happy with how things are going so far. I considered buying a small fan but it seems to be able to cool passively fine without (under 50c).

This setup was exactly what I needed, and it's cool that it was in stock too! Raspberry Pi's are hard to come by at the moment. I am in the US so I needed to additionally buy a power supply that would work here, but everything works great! Thank you!

The starter kit has everything you need to happily explore this Single Board Computer. I love that it comes with a protective case - exposed boards worry me (I'm a noob). At first I couldn't make the little microSD slot in Pi and case line up, but a gentle push seated that part of the board correctly with a little click, and it all worked marvellously. The supplied microSD has easy to follow software to choose your operating system (I think the default is Rasp P 32 bit, I later changed to the 64 bit version for some software compatibility issues - again easily done from menu). I've also tried it with the Ubuntu OS and it worked beautifully also. Im having heaps of fun: for some reason I've really taken to improving my use of the terminal and loving practice- my desktop terminal use was never great. I feel really happy just playing and trying new things - yes that's partly state of mind on my part, but it is so darn cute I feel much freer to experiment and thus learn! It's no toy, but it elicits that playful childlike wonder and excitement that is the root of how we all learned new skills growing up - if the Lego falls down it's not that you're some failure, no you get back building it again and try not to knock it/ make broader base: that's how this awesome starter pack makes me feel. Ideally I'd have chosen 4GB but only 2GB was available- but it's seldom been limited yet in what I've tried. PiHut were super speedy in sending, and I was kept informed with emails at every step of delivery, even a 1.5hr window of when postie would be along with it! Thank you for making this available under trying circumstances, these boards and especially this starter pack should be in the hands of lots of ppl, opening up a wonderful world of tinkering possibilities!
