“Useful to have the psu, cable and a good quality 32GB sd card. Would normally have bought a 4GB but these are unobtainable at the moment and 2GB is adequate.”
“No real problems with the Pi itself or the set of accessories but the case is not the greatest you can get. The Pi is a tight fit and has to be pushed into place with a loud click - whatever happened to screws? You MUST fit the feet else the case slides off the desk due to the cable weight.
The monitor cable is long enough though the Pi end connector is very silly due to the size and it would help if they marked which port the cable is to go in.
Power supply is hard to remove from the socket (I have circulation problems and poor grip) due to it being a smooth surface.
The SD Card was great - surprised to get a 32Gb one provided as I expected a 16Gb TBH. No idea of its contents - I promptly replaced it with the latest version from the Pi website and updated the EEPROM (it was out of date).
Finish on the newer Pis does nto match the older ones - lots of 'fibreglass' strands and no anti-static bag (OK maybe the last is not needed but feels wrong) and they still have the silly drawings that do not make much sense unless you spend time puzzeling some out.
Maybe its time for the Pi to move away from fixed memory and allow a socket for 'laptop' style memory to be used? This could simplify the mad scramble for larger memory sized Pi boards - not an issue for me as most of this Pis life will be command line without a GUI.”
“Arrived quickly, in a nice box, everything was well presented.
Just needed a mouse, keyboard and display which I had. The unit was put together and software installed in under 30 minutes. Impressed with Pi, will be buying again”
