“I bought this to make a kiosk display using a 7" Pi LCD, and it does the job. A bit annoyed to have to buy a case, video cable and MicroSD that I didn't want in order to get the Pi, but you take what you can get these days!”
“My Step-Father gave me a Pi2B he has had since 2015 to play with as I had expressed an interest.
It is now sitting on my network as a live web server running Raspian Lite and Apache with Fail2Ban and a firewall. It exists to help me learn HTML coding and how port forwarding works using a free domain I registered.
I ordered a Pi3A+ as a present for my Step-Father - and that is now sitting on his network as a live web server - and he too is learning HTML.
These truly are fantastic little boards for a project. It is incredibly easy to get to grips with Linux and explore the way technology works on Pi as the investment is small and starting from scratch on a new SD is easy.
Pi-Hut is great - they deliver quickly and they are not inflating their prices. There is a shortage of supply and it is disappointing to see folk buying these boards from a main supplier to sell on for an inflated profit - it is what it is - Pi-Hut retains their integrity.
I also bought a Pi3B from Pi-Hut which arrived just before I went on holiday. I have paid to register a domain for that unit which will also be a web server but have content management software installed.
I will buy more from Pi Hut, as I delve deeper into using Pi for other things.
I have attached a couple of Photos. A Pi2B which is a live web server and a Pi3B which will be a second webserver running MySQL and Content Management Software. The Keyboard and Mouse in the picture are the official Raspberry Keyboard and Mouse available at Pi Hut - makes entering commands through terminal much easier having the correct keyboard layout.”
