Instructions not clear. My dad who's an engineer struggled to put it together. The wires included were not the correct type to attach the motor's.

This was easy to assemble, I bought it for a project for young persons to build into a robot if they get accepted to have a week of work experience with my company. Just the job.

went together in under 15 mins ..found no issues with anything ..its pretty solid and the motors have plenty of oomph chassis paintwork is good and should last .. just remember to remove 4 links of the track each side to get the best out of them ..

It's really not easy to fit the tracks. Without the right size drifts and a light hammer and three hands or some other such tooling you will find it very difficult. I'm also not a fan of using bolts as the rear axles, and 'gaskets' from the instructions are actually just washers. I was looking for some plastic stepped bushings which would have done a much better job than just having the screws passing through a hole that's much too big. As it is, if the mounting holes for the axles were elongated, you could use that to tension the tracks better and maybe make fitting them easier. I may try modify mine to add a spring tensioner. Note that the wires that come with it are male to female jumper cables whereas the motor will either need small spade terminals or soldering. It may also be a good idea to fit the motor wires before installing the motors as well, particularly if you intend to solder the connections. It's a fairly nice kit when it all goes together, but it does suffer from a number of flaws. I'll have to see how it puts up with rough terrain and environments though, given it should lend itself to those sort of applications. I have a feeling the unpowered axles may be it's downfall.
