“Nice small and tight fitting metal case for the RPi5, which gives it a good protection.
However: My ribbon cable to bring the GPIO pins out of the case doesn't fit between the standoffs. Not using these wouldn't allow me to close the case on one side.
Further, a metal case is of course a Faraday cage and although the WiFi signal seems to get through the ventillation holes it certainly is not as strong any more.”
“A great little case which I decided to get after my new V5 Pi narrowly missed a shower of steel M4 nuts knocked over by my cat! Not as fiddly to assemble as some have suggested but I am a retired Engineer so where there's a will... The only downside is the metal box sank enough WiFi signal to cut it off the router, not good when running headless, but I've had that with other metal cases so its wired to the router now and protected from feline sabotage. Oh, and I fitted a ribbon cable to access the GPIO pins through the slot provided.”
“A little tight when putting it together, but fits like a glove once done. All the components fit inside perfectly, and it adds enough weight to prevent my cables from pulling it off the table. Would highly recommend!”
