Great add on, works perfectly. FYI I have had success using a single Samsung 990 evo+ 2tb drive. I am assume two of these would also work, which is my plan.

This hat only supports PCIe Gen 2 speed. Flat Flex Cable could be longer... Seed Studio's Dual hat supports PCIe 3.0 Speed (Switch chip ASM2806)

Bought to provide a NAS with mirrored WD Blue SN580 1 TB SSDs, which work well. Very quick despite the halving of speed, as warned. Recommend use of openmediavault for software mirroring and WireGuard for VPN. Lost a star as the flex ribbon blocks the microSD card so some dismantling of the Pi 5 and board was needed until configuration proven.

The NVMe base duo is a very good product but I can only get my raspberry pi 5 to see only 1 of the 2 attached 250GB NVMe drives, I've updated the pi 5 following the FAQ but still only one drive works on channel B, maybe I am doing something which is being overlooked but I like it and will continue to persevere with getting it to work.

Got this with aim of building a 2TB RAID1 NAS. So far only tested with a single disk but working well as a file server for Windows clients. Keen to see if two disks running through the single multiplexed PCIe channel run fast. Lots of moans about how the PCIe ribbon blocks access to the SD card but better to boot from a USB thumbdrive.
