This works very well. Was able to use it with the 2.8 touch screen (https://thepihut.com/products/2-8-touchscreen-display-for-raspberry-pi-pico-320x240?variant=40242871206083) and a pico2 to build a small joystick controller with display. Just enough space to fit this very slim SHIM on the Pico and still fit it to the display. Provides a convenient on/off switch and the on light is handy in this usage. However, docked a star because the battery voltage sensor gives garbage readings, there may be workarounds but I never managed to get to the bottom of that.

Maybe you'll have better mileage than I did but despite this saying it it compatible with a Pico 2, well, I've never got it working with one. Maybe you will be able to? Maybe the Pi Hut can supply a definitive answer (plus say how you can monitor battery voltage on the Pico 2 since allowing your LIPO to drain to empty will harm its life considerably.) I did get the Pico 2 working with an Amigo shim however; I'd therefore recommend the Amigo Pro instead of this. Not as convenient for "packaging" mind. ALSO: Please note that this board has a very bright white LED on the board that turns on when you hit the power button. Great. Unless you're trying to run a minimal power setup. I am running Pico for just a sample then going into light sleep for 5 minutes. The LIPO LED was consuming most of the battery life! This cannot be controlled by software. You could try to desolder the LED, but seeing as it is surface mounted that's a tad tricky. A pair of fine snipe nosed pliers allow you to "remove" the LED directly (a one way operation). In my use case this operation probably added 20 to 25 extra days of battery life! If you do this you might like to wire up an external LED and power it up from a GPIO for a second when turning on, to help you see that the device has been indeed been turned on.

Works very well, and allows for easy charging and running of the Pico all in a tiny little board.

I’ve mounted these on headers and made use of the Pimoroni pico expander for a quick and neat way to add battery power to a small temporary project

Well, the LiPo doesn't work since the beginning. I raised support tickets then they asked to send this item to the UK back, but the transportation costs more than the item. I just gave up. Apart from that, I think it would be great.
