“It's a great little kit, I love the build and the quality of the components. Unfortunately my kit was missing 2xM2.5 stand offs and 1xM2.5 screws (I was VERY careful with the bags, so I know I didn't just drop them on the floor) so I had to order them off of Amazon in the middle of my build.
Otherwise it's really do very cool”
“I’ve always wanted an excuse to get into the Rasberry Pi build. As an 80s kid growing up in the 8, 16 and 32 bit gaming world it seemed like a natural choice to use the Picade to take me back to my childhood.
The instructions are clear and the product is well built. Super work from a brilliant company!”
“I had great fun constructing this - with my limited skills it took about 4 hours but I had no problems and it functioned perfectly first time.
I love the joystick and buttons as they feel just like those I used on the old arcade machines in the 1980's - 1990's. The unit itself is also made of strong and solid materials
Once I had the Retropie OS installed it took me a couple of hours to get everything working as It should; a quick Google search led me to lots of great articles and resources and I learnt far more about Rasbian and Linux than I knew before in this process.
My Picade Console now functions perfectly and I have hundreds of arcade perfect games to play.
The whole process of constructing and configuring my Picade Console has inspired me to build further Rasberry Pi projects and I know that I will be building one or two Picade's with screens as presents in the future.”
