“Really like the SHIM fan. It is easy to connect after an internet search for instructions. The fan is very quiet and really does keep the pi4 cool. I use for playing retro games and watching films and so far no temperature issues. Great service as always from the pi Hut!”
“PROS:
- It effectively cools my Raspberry Pi 4!
- It allows me to simultaneously use my BLINK! and also cool a Raspberry Pi 4 within my K3s cluster. The Fan SHIM effectively stops my Raspberry Pi 4 from throttling.
CONS:
- I noticed that depending on the case standoffs used that the fan can be felt via a vibration through the desk. Although, considering the size of the fan, the convenience of the design and how the vibration can be dampened by better/larger case standoffs, then I would say that this is less of an issue but something to be aware of, so I did not drop a star for this.”
