“I bought this shim so I could safely power cycle a headless RiPi-Zero. A daemon is required to use the shim and this is easily installed from the pimoroni.com web site. One command line and it's done. There is a breakout for an external button so you can add your own button to the outside of a case. I doubt most cases provide easy access to the on-shim button so this is the way to go. This is a great little shim and I'm sure I'll be buying more.”
