Great Service. The item comes quickly (comparable with Amazon Prime) and is well packed. As ever, Pi products are of the highest build quality and the new Pi 4 has amazing performance. I also love Raspberry peripherals like the keyboard and mouse; inexpensive, well built and fun.

Pun intended. Great little display. Nice and bright. Very controllable.

Easy to use, useful as a status display - actually only needs 4 pins to interface. I assume the HD version is similar but even more fun!

Bought this recently at discount price, soldered on header & fired up on Pi Zero. Got the examples running but found that the examples would not close so I had several running at the same time. Even the "turn off leds" app did not stop them. However I am not a software whiz so it could have been something I was doing wrong. Leds on scroll phat seemed to be distinctive & sometimes very bright. Nice bit of kit though, especially at the reduced price. It would be good if someone could make either a shroud / bezel to cover the exposed electronics or a dedicated case with a window at the top for the led display.

This nice little module piggybacks onto the Pi Zero, giving a small integrated display of 7x11 pixels. You can download a useful Python library from Github that then allows you to use it as an x,y addressable screen, or you can display or scroll text. A number of examples are included, like Conway's Life, a weather readout and so on. This is a great way to make small form-factor device that can display some real-time information. By the way there is also an improved version of this module now (the scrollphat HD) that has a 17x7 display for better-looking text.

Provided you don't mind a bit of soldering, this is a great way to provide a low cost display for the Pi Zero (or other Pi). The Scroll pHAT is slightly smaller than the Pi Zero and easy to install using the GPIO connector. Note standard Pi Zero doesn't have a GPIO connector so you will have to source one - solderless versions are available. The Scroll pHAT can be soldered directly to the GPIO header or use the supplied connector which also needs soldering to the Scroll pHAT. Once installed, installation of the software is straightforward. Integration into Python is simple with a range of commands to control the Scroll pHAT LEDs or to output text. Examples are supplied. I spent a happy hour or two modifying the supplied weather application to display in degrees Centigrade rather than Fahrenheit, learning about the yahoo weather API as I went.
