“Excellent bit of kit, took a minute to get the correct software etc sorted but it's so much easier than programming ATtinys with an Arduino Uno!
Mine did arrive slightly damaged, but as usual the customer service was impeccable and I was able to get a replacement sorted in no time.”
“As a newbie, I'm finding this little board very handy. I'm already familiar with hardware electronics, but am new to coding for microcontrollers, and wanted a cheap board that would add minimal extra faff to an already uncertain learning curve. Some initial irritation with Arduino IDE and setting up the software add-on required to use this board, but it wasn't hard, and once up and running it's a mostly seamless operation.
If anything, I would like to see this in a small enclosure, with a ZIF socket, as levering a little 8-pin DIP in and out is not going to do much good to the chip or the existing socket – however, I can power the board via a USB supply on my test bench, for testing with oscilloscope etc, away from the computer.
Overall I'd say this was a good first step and it's about as user-transparent as I could have expected.”
“Followed the instructions and after a lot of figuring out managed to get the item to work on Arduino IDE 2.2.1. Instructions need updating.
Work well after figuring it out.”
“Took a while to get it working with the Arduino IDE, but that's because I didn't follow instructions carefully enough. Now I can program the attiny device so easily.”
