“Since I have my Pi Zero lying about on my cluttered bench there is plenty of stuff that would otherwise could have caused a short. But in this pretty case it is protected and it is also easier to handle the Zero when inserting/removing cables. And it was not expensive either!”
“Do not buy this if you need to use any of the gpio or other pinouts as there are no cut outs for the headers. If you only use your pi zero as a media player or if you only use the usb port then I suppose it is a good case.”
“Since I won't be soldering on the GPIO header, I like how snug the Pi Zero looks with this casing around it. The SoaC is not enclosed so I'm not expecting any overheating issues. It adds only height to the size of the bare board (length and width are the same), so you can still hold your Pi between your thumb and forefinger and wave it around, telling everyone "This is a computer!"
I'm thinking of getting another one for my other Pi Zero, which has a slightly larger case at the moment. It was fun and kind of satisfying to assemble, although I did have to look up the instructions online.”
“I love this little case. It doesn't do anything fancy, but it does exactly what I want and looks good as well. No problem throwing my Zero in my pocket now.”
