“The breadboard, buttons and LEDs are fine, but the 16x2 digit display - it came on (rather bright), then after about 5 sec, before I had chance to turn down the brightness control I set for it, it went out, and I've never been able to get it to work since - I hope I didn't break it? Later when I have more time, I hope to check and work out how to drive it, but I don't like the unsure what happened feeling, it would be very rubbish if it has broken that easily.”
“The Adventures in Raspberry Pi - Parts Kit has an accompanying book, so this is good if you're looking for a good self-explanatory project for a self-starter kind of person. I think this edition might already be/will soon be out of date, but basically it's a solid parts + instructions for those parts combo.”
