“M5Stack Cardputer Mesh Kit – ridiculously fun little device
I've been having a lot of fun with the Cardputer Mesh Kit and Meshtastic. It is one of those gadgets that starts as a simple toy and very quickly turns into something you keep finding new things to do with.
The combination of the Cardputer, LoRa, GNSS and Meshtastic makes it particularly interesting. I love being able to discover nodes, send messages without mobile coverage and experiment with the mesh network.
What makes the Cardputer special for me is that it is much more than just a Meshtastic terminal. The little keyboard, screen, ESP32-S3, microSD, sensors, Grove/expansion interfaces and programming possibilities make it feel like a tiny portable computer that happens to have LoRa and GPS attached. M5Stack also supports Arduino, UiFlow2 and other development environments, so there is a huge amount of room for experimentation. I'm already thinking about developing my own little applications for surveying, GPS, node monitoring and field work.A brilliant little gadget for anyone who enjoys technology, experimenting and building things. The amount of fun you can get out of something this small is ridiculous.
