“This is part of an interesting set of microcontrollers and accessories that all snap together. The emphasis on the product line is definitely on ease of use and reducing the friction involved in getting started. For example, you don't have to mess around forever with the disheartening process of getting a device to work with the Arduino IDE. You can use much simpler interfaces.
The hardware also comes in a nice solid plastic enclosure that's well designed and well built.
Unfortunately I'm not going to be using this thing for my project for one reason. It may not affect others so much, but it's the screen quality. When viewed off-axis it has a faint blue cast to the LCD caused by the backlight. It doesn't have the solid blacks we're used to from mobile phones and so on. And that isn't good enough for the project I'm working on, which is a shame!”
