it seems to be working, however either drivers or instructions are wrong, Raspberry Pi4B goes into boot loop after following driver install process, worse thing, to restore it to working I had to flush SD card with fresh OS again as it's not accessible via SSH anymore. Requested return

Despite the low price, everything is physically fine - the case is neat and fits together well, and the LCD screen hardware looks solid. There is one oddity, in that the package includes both the LCD and an alternative cover panel with a little fan (which can only be used if you don't use the LCD), but that's not a problem. What is a problem is the software (which is downloaded via a supplied URL). I presume it did once work with earlier releases of Linux on the Raspberry Pi, but it seems not to have been updated for some years. It certainly doesn't work on a Raspberry Pi 4B under the latest Raspberry Pi OS. Following the instructions yields only a white screen. Very disappointing! As a retired software engineer with a history in operating systems, Linux, device drivers etc, I've not given up (yet!) and I am trying to get this to work. But if you don't have that experience, or lots of free time to tinker, you probably ought not to buy this product.

I would recommend avoiding this touchscreen if you can. It doesn't work without drivers. With the driver, I had lots of pain + offline to install drivers is even more pain than online + I had problems with resolution after installing drivers + the touchscreen doesn't work as it was supposed to because of some glitch (some bug that not allowed touchscreen work as a mouse or something like that, you'll find about it information on official GitHub page with drivers). If you have a choice to buy that or to buy a coffee and cheesecake .... buy a coffee and cheesecake.

Be aware when buying this. Image quality isn't the best and the touchscreen hasn't got the feel of a phone (not complaining, just don't get too hyped up). The biggest problem for me is that the performance is quite laggy. I don't know if it's because it uses GPIO pins, but be aware. Other than that, it's great.

As there was no instructions with it just a card with the code you needed to put in when it came up with an error i am unable to get the screen working. It’s taken some time and still don’t have it workin. Would like some instructions with it ….

Does what it says on the tin. Quick set up. The price is very competitive for the case and screen. Simple to revert to use of external monitor. Runs well on Pi4. Usual easy ordering and very fast dispatch. Thanks Pi Hut.
