“These are fantastic little fans. I'm building a 'North Pi' and wanted some case fans, initially looking at Noctua 40mm units, but settled for these. Screws supplied are a little long for my build, but I offset the extra length by using an extra nut. Ultimately I will build a fan splitter cable to drive both fans, but for now I'm using the bottom fan only in my North Pi. In combination with an ultra low profile heatsink (SKU: 105875) the single fan I've currently wired in is keeping temperatures in check, ambient 21°C sees idle temps under 50°C and load temps under 70°C. Fans spin at 1000rpm most of the time, but will ramp up to 3000rpm, remarkably they are barely audible in the case, even at full tilt.”
“Surprisingly quiet and efficient. The recess for the nuts in the columns of the fan is a nice touch as this can make for a very low profile. I am using these for prototyping at the moment but will probably leave them in.”
