“This IO expander is really nice built .you can see the quality. Works perfectly as an Io expander for my button box although it only offers 8 additional inputs that can be used. The other 16 inputs are for LEDs.”
“This is a useful board that makes adding I/O to a Raspberry Pi (or other I2C capable device) easy without faffing about with a breadboard.
The Pi Hut website doesn't make it clear that only 8 of the ports are both input and output, the rest just being output but it's cheap enough that I'm not too worried about that.
It has 3 rows of pins - ground, input, output but it would be good if the ground row was in the centre which would allow the use of an 8x2 IDC cable for the connections.
It works well with code you can get from the manufacturer website.”
