“The holder is ideal for so many purposes; I am not (yet) a raspberry pi user, but this will be a perfect 5v floating power protector. Very well made.”
“This thing is brilliant. Having 5 x 5v and 5 x 3.3v outputs right on the board made my latest project so much easier to do. The only disappointing thing is that there doesn't seem to be a 4 battery variant. Love it and will be getting another for my next project.”
“Nice neat package to use as a ups or power source for an off grid project. Has micro usb or C inputs, and usb output or solderable 5/3.3 rails on the sides for a more permanent connection. Comes with stand-offs for mounting also.”
“I agree with the previous reviewers. This is a neat, robust, package for powering off-grid projects. The project I'm working on uses a ESP8266 which spends most of its time in deep sleep. This means I have to put the Normal/Hold switch in the hold position which illuminates the charge LEDs; these consume more power than the ESP8266. With nothing connected and the switch in the hold position the two batteries are exhausted in 36hours. A single 18650 battery hardwired to my project will power it for 72 to 96 hours. It would be better if the LEDs were only activated by pressing a button.
The 2-Way 18650 Battery Holder is great for powering a Raspberry Pi or a ESP8266 running 100% of the time but is inefficient for powering low power projects.”
“Perfect power source for esp32 project. Multiple 3.3v and 5v output on the pcb and can even charge the 18650 cells via usb. Just add your own 18650 cell. Excellent, very happy with this item for the price.”
“This is a really handy holder with lots of inputs and outputs in a nice neat package, and comes in 1,2 or 4-way versions. I will definately be using them again.”
