I'm trying to write some code to control this display from a PIC (16F18446 Curiosity Nano) but so far without success. I have however got it working with an ESP32 in the Arduino enviroment and also by sending commands from a Bus Pirate - so hopefully it's just a matter of time before I succeed!”
“Bright display but really needs a filter in front to get best results. I used a tip from You Tube you can find here to make things better; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kd45sQ0I-34 . I got the filter sheet from eBay but be careful to buy black and not silver or bronze. This product is let down by the support library and resulting methods at your disposal. There are many many many lines of code in the library, lord knows what they're doing but it looks horrendous to me. The methods provided are just plain mad but I could be wrong of course. Just one example; it's impossible to present 2 INT's on an 8 digit display without a whole load of pre-processing. I got there in the end, but something like this should be really simple in my view. Although these displays are good value for money, I'd avoid them in the future.”
