“I find the teensy is the best microcontroller in the marketplace. Its fast at 600MHz clock speed as standard, which can be overclocked though I have never tried it. It has masses of timers, which i use in music synthesisers. Although it does not have a dac it is easy to add this peripheral using the i2c and i2s serial interfaces. There are masses of digital i/o, pwm outputs and analogue inputs all with interrupt capability. In short it is so versatile it can handle almost any task with ease.
It is programmed using the Arduino environment which is a joy to use.”
