You might want to re-write the I2C driver though as even at 400kHz the one in ESPHome takes 80ms to do a read of the six axes and the temperature. This causes the platform to bleat in the diagnostics that the API call takes too long.”

“This is a fantastic little device which I've really enjoyed working with. I had a few problems getting it up and running because I needed to manually install an FTDI driver which wasn't mentioned in the official documentation. There is also a small design flaw meaning the red and green channels in the LED matrix are the wrong way round. Other than that, I'm very pleased with it. Great value for money, and lots of fun for tinkering!”
