Great device PI4 boots up a lot faster than SD. Instructions imply to fully assemble with the SATA disc , but you then ( well I think so) would have to disassemble t9 remove the SD card from the PI 4, unless you have cables etc to format the disc first. So I fitted the disc , rested PI4 on top of expansion board and fitted cable, used imager from the PI4 to format sd card and firmware, then removed sd card and properly fitted expansion board.

Works well with my Raspberry PI 4, 8GB and 500GB Sata m2 SSD. I have the older Argon one case and wanted to make a small NAS with open media vault and run a few servers on it, this does the job nicely and I can still connect another USB SSD to it if I want to update the storage capacity. The base fits nicely with the old case so I am happy with the purchase. If you have the Argon one case already this is a must-buy and worth the money if you like a tidy workspace.

The Argon ONE case is the best on the market for the Pi4 and having this expansion board as a separate line item means you can have multiples of this and the M.2 having different instances of the OS. Great product.
