Gives a good signal boost and can be put outside to further improve reception. Needs a uFl to SMA converter cable, but works without any other tinkering.
I'm using it for a timing source as a Stratum 1 NTP reference, with the 1 PPS signal. I'm now reliably getting enough GPS coverage to have the 1 PPS all the time, in a non-ideal situation (just partial sky-view).”
