I have been using some MCP73871 based Solar Lipo chargers. They were great with tiny 1w solar panels for low powered projects but when I upped the panel size to use 4.5W panels, the charge control wasn't up to it - the voltage seen by the microprocessor was far too high. With these BQ25185 based chargers both the charging current and the maximum voltage on the load output are sensible. The charger costs a little more, though given that it comes with two jst sockets and a USB C socket the price difference is small and well worth it if it is going so save a £25 microprocessor.

Not use the module yet but it looks well made and solid

Works well as a battery charger and psu replacement for a stack of AAs, but it seems to discharge on its own, presumably because of the power LED.
