“I needed a sensor to add to my Windows based automatic test equipment program, to record the environment whilst the device under test was being tested. I looked at several options, including loggers where I could set them off, do the testing, then align the logs to the test times.
However, I saw this unit. I was a little uncomfortable due to the lack of info about how to use it in my environment but, no worries. Out of the bag, I plugged it in to a port, ran a terminal emulator and immediately started receiving temperature and humidity information. I didn't even change the default serial settings (9600, 8,N,1).
It'll only take a little bit of tweaking to read the values at the start and end of every test and then add a graph to the results report/certificate to show exactly what the test environment was like.
(Yet to be done).
It's good to know that it's an accurate reading too.
Effortless and cheaper than a logger solution.”
