Bit disappointed that the output of this cable is less than 12v. Tried it with two different USB-C supplies, and it was the same for both. The picture on website shows a multi-meter testing the output, with @12.3v which is probably a crucial half a volt higher than mine.

Awesome wee cable. Used it to power a router that had a massive power brick from a small Gaan USB-C PD charger. Ideal.

These cables are fantastic, USB C PD to 12 V at 5A. Please make sure that your input is from a USB C PD delivery device otherwise these may not work. The Delivery device also needs to support 12 output. This is NOT a 5 volt to 12 volt boost cable. It relies on requestion 12V from the USB C PD compatible device. Please check and do not report a faulty cable if your supply does not support 12v. Usually the USB C PD adaptor, mains or a power bank, will list on the back the voltages that is can supply. If 12 volts is not on the list then this cable will not work. I use this for powering all sorts of electronic equipment that requires a 12V supply when I only have a mains USB C PD capable charger or similar power bank.

Works really well to power an office lamp via usb c instead of its bulky wall plug.

Absolute rubbish. I was in two minds as to whether I should deal with The PiHut again after they messed me around with my previous order. However, I thought I would give them a chance to redeem themselves. I needn't have bothered. I ordered 2x 12V 5A cables for use with a portable 12V telescope mount. You can probably imagine my disappointment when the mount didn't work and when I measured the output of the cable it was 9.12V, for both cables!. Both the packaging and the cables themselves were marked as 12V. Clearly PiHut don't bother testing cables they get from Adafruit. Very poor indeed. Now they won't send a replacement until they've received them back and tested them. Again, poor customer service.

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Worked out of the box for me.
