“Amazing value and a fully-featured GPS unit that can be connected to many microcontrollers or small computers. I am using this with a Flipper Zero because I usually have that on me, and you never know, I might be without my phone (perish the thought) and may need to know where I am.”
“I used this in a DIY Meshtastic node and consistently get twice (if not more) the number of satellites being received than I was getting with the GPS receiver supplied with the node. The larger ceramic antenna probably helps and since I was making a node from scratch I could allow for the larger footprint. The only potential downside is that since I last bought these the manufacturer has started shipping these with the battery terminal attached. It comes off easily enough but I would rather it not have been on there in the first place. Note: If using the stock Meshtastic firmware it takes a short while to identify this module as it goes through a number of "presets" before it gets to one that this module understands, but once it's up it works very well.”
