“So easy to use it feels like cheating! The only snag I enountered was that the library actually has the 'X' in its name, i.e. Adafruit_MCP23X17 and of course that was operator error. I can see how I might use more of these in the future as they are so convenient, especially where I have LOADS of wires going to the front panel of a test box for the switches and indicators (not a TFT screen though — it's not fast enough), I can use a couple these in series with just four wires going back to the microcontroller.”
