There is no doubt that the case will hold the Pi 400, and though it does manage it does struggle somewhat to accommodate the peripheral parts required such as the mouse and the PSU. It is solidly built and has a good quality zipper, is great value considering the silly money other people want for lesser cases. Unless you plan to keep your Pi on the desk all the time and not, as I do, take it into the field to test real world applications, then this is a good buy to protect what is after all a quite valuable asset.

Case is really good and compact. The only minus I could give is that the extra compartment does not fit as many items as it shows in the picture. If you actually add a mouse like the picture shows, then you can’t close the case. But for cables only it’s fine.

The sleeve is nicely made and offers good protection for the Raspberry Pi 400, but is not really large enough to accommodate accessories as well. The photograph shows a mouse in the mesh pocket in the lid, but this is misleading. Realistically, you will need alternative storage for accessories such as the mouse, PSU and cable. I am therefore a little disappointed with this purchase. I would like to see a larger case made available that has room for the Pi 400, PSU, mouse and HDMI cable.

The illustration shows a Pi 400, a mouse and a cable in the case, implying that the case could be used (in particular, zipped closed) with those contents. The only positive thing I can say about that is the mouse doesn't look like the standard one provided with the Pi 400, because that's absolutely not possible with the Pi 400 and included mouse. That makes the handle a bit pointless - if you can't carry everything needed with the Pi 400 inside the case, you're not just going to be carrying the case by its handle, you'll be carrying e.g. a bag instead. But still, for some reason this is standard for hard cases for gadgets - they're always shown in adverts with accessories (sometimes photoshopped in deceptively small) that simply won't fit in reality if you try to close the case, and will most likely break the device they're meant to protect if you brute force it. Despite that, this is a good case that holds the Pi 400 and e.g. a few SD cards in those little clear plastic cases, which can then be thrown in a bag with cables and other items without worrying about damage to the Pi 400.

Somewhere to keep my PI400 when I’m off on a business trip. There’s enough space for the Pi, mouse, cables and a couple of interface boards. There isn’t enough room for a pi power supply, but that’s not the end of the world.
